International Instructors Course 2011 - Report

Grand Master Choi Jung Hwa, president of the 'International Taekwon-do Federation', visited Ireland recently to conduct an International Instructors Course. This prestigious event was held at the Mardyke Arena at UCC in Cork, and was hosted by Independent National Organisation, 'ITF Eireann' (INO 300). Message to All Members

Dear Masters/Instructors/Members

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all ITF Éireann members, Instructors and students for making a huge effort to support our International Instructors Course, which was one of the biggest events in the ITF calender for 2011. In all we had 60 plus red belts and black belts from the INO who attended, with the balance of the participants coming from the England, Scotland, Italy France, Germany ,The Netherlands, The Czech Republic,The US and Canada.

Even though the event could not take place without the support from all those who attended, I have to pay special mention to a few members for their support in organising and preparing for the event.

Special thanks goes to Master Robert Wheatley, Master Norman Creedon, Mr JB McCarthy, Mr Ruairi O Brien, Mr Chris McCabe, Mr Michael Whelan, Miss Rachael McDonnell, Mrs Susan Connolly, Mr Henry O Neill, Mr John Hackett, Mr Sean O Riordan, Mr Brian O Brien, Mr Greg Quigley, Mr John Burke, Mr Bong Mendez and UCC Taekwon-do club. I wont go into details on how each person assisted in making this IIC and major success for ITF Éireann but a huge thanks to all.

Congratulations also to all the newly promoted black belt students who tested on Sunday morning.

Finally I hope you all will join me in wishing Mr Brian Keogh a speedy recovery following his horrific accident on Friday afternoon.

The NITA also includes senior instructors , Mr William Owers VI Degree ,Mr Eugene Veale IV Degree and Mr Paul Carroll II Degree

These instructors bring with them a wealth of experience and knowledge in ITF Taekwon-do to our organisation and I am sure you will all join me in welcoming the The National Irish Taekwon-Do Association (NITA) on board.
